Stuff We Love to Do: Stay #AtTheOmni
Omni hotels are known for their luxurious rooms and are often the top rated hotels in a city. Little did we know that many of them are also dog friendly!
On our recent road trip we stayed first at the Omni in Charlottesville, Virginia and then at the Omni Severin in Indianapolis, Indiana. We were wowed and hooked on the Omni experience! There is a pet fee for most Omni hotels and often a weight limit (so make sure to check ahead with the specific hotel you are staying at), but they make it worthwhile! The rooms are beautiful, clean and the staff have all been incredibly friendly.
For our Charlottesville stay the hotel is right near the main street where there are lots of restaurants and patios nearby (all of which seemed to be very dog friendly). We stayed in a suite and loved the extra room for Piper to run around. They also had a gift basket for Piper and champagne for us to celebrate #NationalDogDay! If we're ever in Virginia again, we'll be stopping here for a repeat stay to explore more of the nearby vineyards (many of which are also dog friendly) and try out a few more of those dog friendly patios.
We stayed a lot of dog-friendly hotels recently, but our stay at the @OmniSeverin really blew us away. Their corner suite overlooked the @Colts Stadium and had a phenomenal view. This is THE place to stay if you're ever in Indianapolis (with or without your pooch). The room was beautiful, and nice and quiet and away from the main elevators, which is nice if your dog hears every little sound and needs to relax in the evening. They had the most amazing peanut butter flavoured doggie cake and cookies from the @threedogindy dog bakery for Piper! AND they had a @Colts jersey for Piper along with a toy football! Too. Freaking. Cute.
The gift baskets at both of these Omni hotels were also amazing. Locally made treats and toys just for our pooch were a super nice touch. Not to mention, they didn't forget about us, Piper's humans! They had wine and a cheese and fruit tray that really hit the spot after a long day on the road. There's a reason why the Omni is known for luxury and this is why! All those details really made this stay outstanding.
Dog friendliness: 5 star paws out of 5!
What we love: The corner suites are well worth it for the views and extra space! The staff were all super welcoming as well (especially all of our new friends in Indy!) and made us and our furry family member feel very welcome. The locations of these hotels were also prime. If you're ever visiting Charlottesville or Indianapolis, these locations are perfect. Green space nearby for bathroom breaks, lots of restaurants, and everything within walking distance!
