Stuff We Love To Do: Stay at Graduate Hotels

We stopped in Madison, Wisconsin next as we had heard that it's a beautiful little town with lots of walking trails along the surrounding lakes. And it didn't dissapoint!

We stayed at the Graduate Madison, which is very near where a lovely lakeside trail begins. There are also lots of sailboats, kayaks, and paddle boards that you can rent. There's a lively atmosphere with college kids out on the water and enjoying something to eat or drink on a nearby patio.

We checked into the hotel and what did we find in the room? A BarkBox that we got to keep!

Recently Graduate hotels debuted a free pet policy and a collaboration with BarkBox, so that EVERY pampered pooch gets a complimentary BarkBox, and any guests that sign up for BarkBox get an additional free month when they use the code "GRADUATE"! Talk about a dream #dogfriendly hotel perk! You also get the use of a plush blanket and bowl during their stay (which you can actually purchase and take home if you want).

The decor in this hotel was too cute. Plaid everywhere and cute wooden, outdoorsy details galore. Literally every piece in the hotel has been carefully chosen and placed in the rooms. Everything was also super clean and nice and quiet. We ate in the morning at Portage Pi and their homemade pies were to die for! There is also apparently a lovely rooftop patio and restaurant that was being renovated while we were there, but we'll have to go back and check it out another time soon!

Dog friendliness: They gave us a BarkBox. Enough said.

What we love: Besides the BarkBox, of course, the hotel was perfectly located. We were close by to walking path along Lake Mendota and right next to State Street and Capital Square where we walked in the evening and found a patio for dinner. The newly renovated patio also looks fantastic, and this is definitely the place to stay for a fun weekend in Madison.
