Stuff We Love To Do: Stay at Westin Hotels!

If your dog is family and you like modern elegance when you travel, the Westin is for you. We stayed at the Westin Edina Galleria and will definitely be back! The hotel is sophisticated and exactly what we needed after a long time away from home.

We stayed in a corner suite and had access to the Club Lounge which was definitely a nice perk. There's a happy hour every evening and a delicious breakfast (yes, a hotel breakfast that was actually good!) every morning. Even the coffee was excellent. The hotel is connected to the Edina Galleria Shopping Centre, and very near a lovely walking trail that takes you all the way to Centennial Lakes Park, where you can rent paddle boats, play mini-gold or other lawn games! It's a beautiful idyllic path and we wished we had had more time just to walk around and linger on one of the Adirondack chairs scattered throughout the park. We went for a long walk in the evening and ate at the dog friendly patio at PinStripes, which we would also highly recommend you try if you're ever in the Edina / Minneapolis area!

What we loved: the hotel location is perfect for a shopping or just weekend away in summer or winter, or even a stay-cation! The hotel is so nice you could easily rent a suite and just stay in and enjoy the hotel amenities, but there's so much to do in the surrounding area you'll want to get out an explore at least a little bit! We saw other dogs also coming and going and were all well behaved, well groomed, and the hotel was very nice and quiet.
